Ana's Story
Opening Plenary Session

Wrote and directed a play that wove together actual stories from members of the represented agencies. The actors were staff members from the participating agencies.
The play began with Ana introducing herself to the audience.
"You know what they say, a picture says a thousand words…and I am a very proud mama so I have brought a few pictures from our family album that I would like to share with you, so you can meet my family and friends. Then I will tell you about a very special thing that happened to us, just this past year. I think it was like a miracle really…but first, let me show you my pictures…"
Ana's story unfolded in short vignettes as she shared her photo album with the audience.
